Leeds United must land EURO 2020 sensation Leonardo Spinazzola amid Carlton Palmer’s intriguing transfer claim.

What’s the story?

The Italy international has been one of the shining lights of EURO 2020 thus far, being a real live-wire as a left-back for Roberto Mancini’s side – in the three games he’s played, he’s assisted once, and averaged an impressive two shots, 1.7 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game.

And, speaking exclusively to This is Futbol, former Leeds man Carlton Palmer has suggested the Whites should be after a player like Spinazzola in this summer’s transfer window.

He said: “Anybody who’s got energy and can get up and down the pitch will fit into the style that Bielsa wants and the way that he’s going to play. Once you go into a European Championship and you play well and you do well, obviously you’re going to get a lot of suitors.”

EURO 2020 star

Hailed as being “electric in attack” by UEFA EURO 2020’s official Twitter account, and as “outrageously good” by ESPN’s Matteo Bonetti, Spinazzola has been in superb form in this summer’s tournament for the Azzurri.

The £17m-rated star was predominantly used as a left-sided midfielder for club side AS Roma last season, and showed his attacking threats with two goals and eight assists in 32 games in the position.

Given his ability to play more further forward, but also have the defensive awareness to be trusted by Mancini to play at left-back too, Spinazzola seems like he would be a perfect fit for Bielsa at Leeds.

Whether it’s being used as someone to rotate with Jack Harrison down that left-flank, or a more aggressive, exciting option at full-back, Spinazzola’s performances at EURO 2020 have shown him to be someone who can be a real danger going forward.

It’s a move Leeds must surely make.

What’s the word?

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League side have struck an agreement with La Liga outfit Sevilla for centre-back Jules Kounde.

It’s thought that Spurs have offered Davinson Sanchez plus €30m (£25.5m) and now the 22-year-old France international is mulling over the proposal.

If he rejects the move, then the North Londoners could turn their attentions back to Inter Milan colossus Milan Skriniar, who was close to joining last summer.

If the Italian supremo can pull this off as his first piece of business in N17, then it’ll be an absolute stroke of genius as Spurs would be getting rid of an expensive flop and replacing him with a potential star of the future.

Sanchez cost Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy a whopping £42m in August 2017, which was then the club’s record arrival. But he has failed to hit the heights that such a price tag should command.

Throughout last season, the Colombia international was regularly slammed for his poor performances.

For instance, former Republic of Ireland star Kenny Cunningham lambasted him as a “real liability”, whilst ex-midfielder Jamie O’Hara described him as an “absolute disgrace” back in April.

Sanchez was in and out of the side as a result of his inconsistencies, starting just 17 times in the Premier League. It’s evident that he’s just not good enough for a team like Spurs and in Kounde, Nuno Santo would be receiving a promising upgrade.

After an impressive campaign for the 2019/20 Europa League winners, the 22-year-old defender made Didier Deschamps’ Euro 2020 squad over the likes of Dayot Upamecano and World Cup winner Samuel Umtiti.

Kounde ended the year as their highest-rated player (7.01), having averaged three aerial duels won, 1.2 interceptions as well as a 90.1% passing accuracy, via WhoScored.

These are all returns that exceed the performance from Sanchez in 2020/21.

It’s why the £54m-rated beast has been dubbed “pretty special” by La Liga expert Euan McTear and that’s exactly the calibre of player Spurs need to make a statement this off-season.

If Paratici can convince the 5 foot 10 monster to join his project in North London, then he’ll kickstart his era with a monumental bang. It would, on the above evidence, be quite the coup and shrewd move to swap Sanchez out for Kounde.

وفي نفس الوقت عقد المدير الفني جلسة سريعة مع جهازه المعاون قبل انطلاق التدريبات الجماعية، شهدت الجلسة توزيع فيريرا لبعض المهام الفنية على الجهاز المعاون لتنفيذها خلال المران.

ومنح فيريرا بعض التعليمات الفنية الخاصة لـ عبد الله جمعة على هامش التدريبات، كما اجتمع باللاعب وأكد له أهمية دوره الفني مع الفربق خلال الفترة المقبلة، وطالبه بضرورة الاجتهاد في الملعب وبذل أقصى جهد.

وخاض لاعبو الفريق مجموعة من تدريبات سباقات السرعة وقفز الحواجز، بجانب بعض التدريبات البدنية بالكرة .

وقسم فيريرا لاعبي الزمالك إلى مجموعتين، خلال المران، إذ أدت الأولى فقرة تدريبات فنية تحت إشراف المدرب البرتغالي، الذي ركز خلالها على استخلاص الكرة والضغط على المنافس.

وخاضت المجموعة الثانية فقرة تدريبات فنية تحت إشراف أسامة نبيه المدرب العام، وتم خلالها التركيز على التحول داخل الملعب من الحالة الهجومية للدفاعية والعكس.

وبعد انتهاء المران الجماعي، خاض يوسف أوباما ومحمد أشرف روقا وإمام عاشور مجموعة من التدريبات البدنية الإضافية، بناء على قرار البرتغالي جوسفالدو فيريرا.

واستأنف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك تدريباته اليوم استعدادًا لمباراة إنبي في الجولة الثامنة عشرة لمسابقة الدوري المصري، المقرر لها يوم 10 مايو الجاري في استاد القاهرة الدولي.

Some Everton fans have been buzzing as a transfer update emerged on Daryl Dike.

شدد المدرب الإسباني، تشافي هرنانديز، المدير الفني لنادي برشلونة، على صعوبة مباراة فريقه أمام ريال مدريد بكلاسيكو الأرض، مُشيرًا إلى أن هدفه الحصول على النقاط الثلاث للاقتراب أكثر من التأهل إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ويحل برشلونة مساء غدًا الأحد ضيفًا ثقيلًا على ريال مدريد، في تمام الساعة العاشرة مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة، ضمن لقاءات الجولة التاسعة والعشرين من الدوري الإسباني.

وقال تشافي في المؤتمر الصحفي الخاص بالمباراة: “ريال مدريد متغير، أنا لا أعرف ما إذا كان سيلعبون على الهجمات المرتدة أم سيضغطون علينا، لقد كان لديهم نصف ساعة أخيرة هائلة ضد باريس سان جيرمان”.
