GRUPO DA SORTE

A Conmebol sorteou, nesta quinta-feira, os grupos da Copa América 2019, que será realizada entre junho e julho, no Brasil. A Seleção Brasileira, que já sabia que seria cabeça de chave do Grupo A, conheceu os seus adversários na primeira fase: o Peru, a Venezuela, e a Bolívia, com quem duelará na estreia do torneio no Morumbi, no dia 14 de junho, às 21h30.

A Seleção do técnico Tite fará o segundo jogo da fase de grupos contra a Venezuela, na Arena Fonte Nova, no dia 18, no mesmo horário, e fecha a primeira fase contra o Peru, na Arena Corinthians, no dia 22, às 16h. Caso classifique como líder do grupo, fará as quartas de final na Arena do Grêmio, no dia 27. Caso passe em segundo, entrará em campo no Maracanã, dia 28.

Parece que a lesão de Neymar não é tão grave quanto aparentava. Segundo publicou o ‘Globoesporte.com’, a contusão sofrida pelo camisa 10 na partida da última quarta-feira contra o Strasbourg não afetou o parafuso colocado na cirurgia feita no quinto metatarso do pé direito, lesão que quase o tirou da Copa do Mundo da Rússia no ano passado.

Entretanto, novos exames serão feitos nos próximos dias para saber qual tratamento será feito, ou se Neymar precisará ser submetido a algum procedimento daqui a pelo menos 10 dias.

DESAPARECIDO

O voo que levava o jogador Sala para Cardiff, País de Gales, ficou desaparecido, na última terça-feira. O meia iria assinar contrato com Cardiff City para atuar na Premier League. A polícia iniciou as buscas ao jogador e o piloto que também estava na aeronave. Entretanto, devido a instabilidade do tempo na região, as buscas foram suspensas e o jogador continua desaparecido.

Horacio Sala, pai do meia Emiliano Sala, que estava no avião que desapareceu no canal da Mancha na última segunda-feira, implorou para que as buscas pelo filho e o piloto David Ibbotson sejam retomadas pelas autoridades inglesas. A procura pela aeronave foi encerrada nesta quinta-feira.

– Continuem buscando, por favor, não se pode mais viver assim. Que sigam buscando. Por que não vão continuar buscando? Por favor, não parem. Soube pela imprensa (que cancelaram a busca). Estamos pedindo para que continuem buscando – disse o pai de Sala, ao canal “TyC Sports”.

Além do pai, o camisa 10 do Barcelona, Lionel Messi também pediu apelo aos oficiais para que as buscas ao jogador e o piloto continuem.

Globo retira Palmeiras e Athletico Paranaense da venda de pay-per-view para o Brasileirão

A Rede Globo atualizou sua página na internet de venda de Pay-Per-View para o Campeonato Brasileiro de 2019, sem os nomes de Palmeiras e Athletico Paranaense. A emissora não tem os direitos de transmissão dos jogos das duas equipes. A informação foi dada inicialmente pelo ‘Uol Esportes’.

Além das duas equipes que estão na elite do futebol nacional, a emissora carioca também não poderá transmitir jogos de Botafogo-SP, Operário, Cuiabá, Sport, Vitória e Coritiba.

Cristiano Ronaldo esteve em Madrid, nesta terça-feira, para resolver uma pendência judicial. O português assumiu ser culpado de fraude fiscal na Espanha e vai ter que pagar uma multa de 18,8 milhões de euros (R$ 80 milhões). Por conta do pagamento, CR7 escapou de uma pena de 23 meses na prisão.

O processo foi aberto contra o atacante durante o período em que Cristiano Ronaldo defendia o Real Madrid, entre 2011 e 2014. Ao assumir a culpa, o craque encerra o processo relativo a sonegação de direitos de imagem, que incluíam a criação de empresas fantasmas, na Irlanda e nas Ilhas Virgens Britânicas, para esconder a origem do dinheiro.

Cristiano Ronaldo escapa da prisão e a sentença não prevê o cárcere, seja privada ou não, por conta do português não ter antecedentes criminais. Acusações, na Espanha, por menos de dois anos, sem antecedentes, não prevê a sentença de cárcere.

Campeãs olímpicas na Rio 2016, Martine Grael e Kahena Kunze começaram o ano com pé direito. Na última segunda-feira, a dupla venceu a Midwinter Regatta, evento de testes para a Copa do Mundo de Miami, que começa na próxima semana. A competição contou com grandes equipes como as austríacas Tanja Frank e Lorena Abicht, e a espanhola Tamara Echegoyen, que faz dupla com Paula Martin.

BLOQUEIO

No final da tarde da última segunda-feira, dia 21, a rede de bares e restaurantes Espetto Carioca obteve nova vitória na ação de cobrança que move contra o Vasco. A Justiça determinou o bloqueio de verbas em mão de terceiros, inclusive CBF, FERJ e patrocinadores. Dessa forma, se alguma empresa tiver valores a pagar ao Vasco, será retido 30% do valor recebido até atingir R$ 1.054.410,79, correspondente ao valor da dívida ainda em aberto que o clube tem com a empresa de alimentos. O Vasco declarou que vai recorrer da decisão. A informação é do Blog de Prima.

Mais uma vez, a Justiça reconheceu a existência da dívida do Vasco com o Espetto Carioca e a juíza Flavia Justus, da 28ª vara cível do Rio, determinou o bloqueio financeiro do clube.

Contudo, ainda falta discutir judicialmente a multa por quebra unilateral de contrato, que vem a ser três vezes maior que o valor do contrato, que pode elevar o valor do débito a mais de três milhões de reais.

TÁ EXPLICADO

O valor anual do patrocínio master fechado pelo Corinthians com a BMG é bem menos do que se esperava. Em ata publicado em seu site para prestação de contas ao sócio, o banco informou que pagará R$ 12 milhões anuais pelo acordo que o fez estampar a marca no espaço nobre da camisa do Timão. Até então, falava-se em valor superior pelo fato de o Corinthians ter informado, no anúncio da parceria, que recebera R$ 30 milhões adiantados. O clube não detalhou a divisão de valores.

A ata do BMG data do último dia 15 de janeiro e passou a circular nesta quinta-feira à noite entre torcedores do Corinthians nas redes sociais. Houve muitos questionamentos sobre os valores anunciados, já que esperava-se mais diante dos valores informados por veículos de imprensa.

Kumar Sangakkara has become the second Sri Lankan batsman, after Aravinda de Silva, to score three hundreds in a Test series. De Silva did it twice, against Pakistan and India.

Sangakkara’s 33 Test hundreds put him in seventh place in the all-time list, one behind Sunil Gavaskar and Brian Lara.

It’s his fifth Test hundred against Bangladesh, which puts him level with Sachin Tendulkar as the batsmen who’ve scored the most hundreds against them. Tendulkar scored his five in seven Tests, while Sangakkara has scored them in 13.

The 195-run stand between Sangakkara and Dinesh Chandimal is Sri Lanka’s fifth-best for the fifth wicket in Tests. Four of those five partnerships have come in home Tests against Bangladesh.

Among those batting in the top seven positions, Tillakaratne Dilshan’s 14 ducks is the third-highest for Sri Lanka, after Marvan Atapattu (22) and Sanath Jayasuriya (15).

When Bangladesh folded for 240 on the first day in Colombo, it seemed an insufficient total. Only three times have Bangladesh managed to bowl out serious Test opposition below that score. Coming into this Test, their bowlers had only 22 Test caps between them, and their bowlers’ averages made for alarming reading – only offspinner Sohag Gazi manages below 75.There had also been worries that Bangladesh had gone in with three fast bowlers and no left-arm spinners, an almost unheard-of strategy for a team that has usually relied heavily on spin. But they put those dreadful numbers behind them in the morning session with a spirited display that left Sri Lanka at 69 for 4, before they were thwarted by a familiar bogeyman.The last time Bangladesh toured Sri Lanka, Kumar Sangakkara racked up 200* and 222*, and this time he opened with twin tons in Galle. With Mahela Jayawardene out with an injury, Thilan Samaraweera retired and Tillakaratne Dilshan dismissed on the first day, there was plenty of responsibility left with Sangakkara to guide an inexperienced line-up. He duly delivered, completing a third Test century in 10 days, as he methodically negotiated the challenges posed by a testing track and Bangladesh’s attack.Dinesh Chandimal, for whom Test cricket continued to be easy, assisted Sangakkara with his second hundred of the series. The pair’s 195-run stand shifted the balance of the match towards Sri Lanka. An already feeble Bangladesh attack was further hampered by the unavailability of Robiul Islam, one of their four specialist bowlers, who had to leave the field just before tea due to cramps.This was not a track that encouraged flamboyance, and was more about waiting for the bad ball and patiently keeping out the good ones. Sangakkara did just that, cutting out the risks, and capitalised when the Bangladesh bowlers dropped short or bowled on the pads. Chandimal was a bit more enterprising, using his feet to Gazi, who bowled a marathon 18-over spell, to loft the ball as he made an energetic century. Both batsmen scored plenty of runs with dabs and tucks square of the wicket. As the partnership flourished, the batsmen brought out the big shots more often, and the pace of scoring picked up after tea.Sangakkara had a couple of close calls, with a bottom-edge on 81 evading both the stumps and the wicketkeeper, and a punch landing just out of reach of short cover, but other than that Bangladesh’s bowlers didn’t pose too much of a problem. He was the first to a hundred, and didn’t mark the occasion with any exuberant celebration, befitting someone who scores them often. Chandimal was more pumped up on reaching his second Test century, the additional duties of wicketkeeper and vice-captain seem to be resting easy on his shoulders so far.The pair were looking exceedingly comfortable, and you started to wonder where a wicket would come from for Bangladesh. It came through Rubel Hossain, who got one to nip in and beat Chandimal’s defence, leaving him bowled for 102.Before stumps, another of Sri Lanka’s next-generation batsmen, Kithruwan Vithanage, came out and played a series of shots, including an authoritative pull to get off the mark, but he perished as he flailed a wide delivery to deep point.Although Bangladesh’s bowlers wilted as the day progressed, they began with intent to rattle the top order. Dimuth Karunaratne was one of the youngsters who didn’t pile up a big score on the shirtfront in Galle, and with six of his ten Test innings having ended before he reached 15, he needed some runs to shore up his place. He and Sangakkara began confidently with a trio of boundaries in the first three overs, which was as many as Bangladesh managed in the entire first session yesterday. Karunaratne gave it away though, flashing at a short and wide delivery to edge to the keeper for 17.That wicket was a freebie for Abul Hasan, but the other two Bangladesh got came off more threatening deliveries. Lahiru Thirimanne was caught-behind for a duck, nicking a pitched up delivery that moved away slightly and Angelo Mathews was foxed by Gazi as he played for the turn, getting an outside edge that was snaffled by Mahmudullah at slip.That was as good as it got for Bangladesh, as Sangakkara and Chandimal then bailed Sri Lanka out of a tight spot. Sangakkara is still in the middle, and a lead of around 100 is likely to prove pivotal in this relatively low-scoring game.

Big PictureAfter making it to the semi-finals in the inaugural IPL season in 2008, Kings XI Punjab’s performances have only waned. From finishing second in the points table in 2008, they finished last in 2010 and then missed the play-offs in 2011 and 2012 by a few points.Even though only four players – Piyush Chawla, Shaun Marsh, Luke Pomersbach and Nitin Saini – remain from their successful squad of 2008, they bought only two players in the auction this year, the least by any team, along with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. The squad also has plenty of players getting on in years, such as Adam Gilchrist, Azhar Mahmood, Dimitri Mascarenhas, David Hussey and Ryan Harris – all except Harris are 35-plus. Their star performers have mostly been overseas players which means they need to get more out of their domestic names, especially their pacers since their home games will be played in Mohali and Dharamsala where they lost five out of their eight games last season.For this squad to churn out better results, they will also need a stand-in leader and wicketkeeper as their 41-year old captain missed nine out of 16 matches last season due to injury. Saini stood behind the stumps in Gilchrist’s absence, but for a two-month long competitive T20 event, they are missing someone like a Kusal Perera or a Quinton de Kock.Kings XI have also failed to put together a run of victories, failing to win more than two matches in a row last season. Additionally, they failed to win their must-win matches in the last two seasons, which kept them only two points away from the play-offs.One thing working on their favour is the appointment of Darren Lehmann as coach; the combination of Gilchrist and Lehmann has already captured one trophy, for Deccan Chargers in 2009, and Kings XI fans will be desperate for a second, though the odds aren’t favourable.Key playersAdam Gilchrist averaged 34.40 last season with a strike rate of 120.27, made a highest score of 64* and led his team to three out of the eight matches they won. What went wrong? His hamstring. The challenge will be tougher for him this year as he is now 41, he last played a competitive match in May 2012 and the burden will be heavier as Marsh will miss King XI’s first few matches. If they want to book a berth in the play-offs, Gilchrist will have to turn their fortunes around with his bat.Kings XI’s leading wicket-taker last season with 17 scalps, Parwinder Awana averaged under 22 and later made his way into the Indian T20 team. In order to change their win-loss ratio at home, Awana could play a crucial role if Kings XI do not want to rely only on their overseas pacers Ryan Harris and Azhar Mahmood.Big names inKings XI bought only two players in the auction this year – Pomersbach and Manpreet Gony. While Gony has struggled to take more than five wickets in an IPL season after 2008, Pomersbach was the second-highest run-scorer in the Big Bash this season, 15 runs behind team-mate Marsh. With a strike-rate of 139.78 and a 65-ball hundred against Melbourne Renegades, Pomersbach would want to replicate that performance on Indian pitches.Big names outA player Kings XI released in November 2012 went on to score 966 runs in the Ranji Trophy at an average of 96.60 and was the most expensive India player sold in the auction, for $675,000. Abhishek Nayar is a player Kings XI will sorely miss as they need domestic match-winners, especially who can bat and bowl.Below the radarA part of the victorious Under-19 World Cup team in Australia in which he took four wickets in the final against the hosts and finished as the joint wicket-taker for India, Sandeep Sharma also took 10 wickets in six matches at an economy of 4.57 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this season. He had quite a solid Ranji tournament too, finishing among the top five wicket-takers with 41 at 19.41 for Punjab. Giving him a chance to share the new ball with Praveen Kumar or Ryan Harris may not be a bad idea.AvailabilityA hamstring injury Marsh suffered against England Lions in February ruled out him out of action and he is expected to join the Kings XI squad in the second half of April.

Com uma disposição inabalável, o atacante Vagner Love, embora não tenha sido o autor dos gols do Corinthians na Arena, fez a diferença a favor do Timão em casa, ajudando na classificação à próxima fase da Copa do Brasil, após a vitória por 4 a 2 diante do Avenida.

Após um susto nos dez primeiros minutos do jogo, o Corinthians se soltou no final do jogo e ainda teve gol de Gustagol para comemorar antes do apito final, com direito a gritos de ‘olé’ das arquibancadas. Fruto de uma etapa complementar bem melhor e mais organizada do que a primeira.

Love entrou em campo perto dos 30 minutos da etapa inicial e, no começo, sofreu para se posicionar em campo, assim como o time alvinegro como um todo. O primeiro tempo foi ruim, mesmo com o gol marcado por Henrique no finalzinho. Na etapa complementar, porém, a movimentação do meio para frente de Vagner Love foi importantíssima. O time como um todo melhorou.

Foram três jogadas perigosíssimas do camisa 9 no segundo tempo. Uma delas acabou na trave do goleiro Fabiano. A movimentação do centroavante do meio para frente possibilitou ao time se organizar melhor em campo. Ao contrário do primeiro tempo, Love parou de “roubar” os espaços dos companheiros e passou a construir bons lances no ataque.

A constante “quebra de linhas” de Love não só desconcentrou os jogadores do Avenida, como também foi importante no lance do gol. No chute de Urso, o camisa 9 era um dos atacantes infiltrados na área puxando a marcação de Claudinho, que corria para marcá-lo ao desviar a bola para o fundo das redes.

Bola parada ajuda o Timão
O equatoriano Junior Sornoza também foi determinante para a vitória corintiana, embora tenha saído de campo antes do terceiro gol. Foi dele a assistência para Danilo Avelar empatar o jogo de cabeça.

Batida de falta bem cobrada pelo camisa 7, que já havia levado perigo ao gol de Fabiano em cobrança anterior. Na etapa final, se sacrificou jogando um pouco mais recuado do que de costume.

A ajuda de Love a maior organização do Timão na etapa complementar possibilitou ainda o quarto gol da equipe do artilheiro Gustagol: são 11 jogos e oito gols do camisa 19.

Gordon Drummond has stepped down as Scotland captain after deciding he was not able to commit enough of his time to the job. He said he wants to continue his playing career but needed to justify his place in the side.Drummond, who has played 28 one-day internationals and 15 Twenty20s, took over the captaincy from Gavin Hamilton in 2010. He was the only non-full-time professional cricketer in the squad for the recent tour to the UAE to play Afghanistan.Drummond said: “It’s been an unbelievable experience having had the opportunity to captain Scotland and the Saltires. I have given it my all and feel I have done my best to keep the squad moving forward.”However my professional life and playing situation mean that I feel it’s time to pass the leadership on to someone else. I want to continue to play as long as I can and will be working hard to maintain my place in the team and achieve the goals set out by this current squad.”Scotland’s head coach, Peter Steindl, added: “Gordon has led his country with distinction on every occasion he has captained Scotland. He has been a fantastic role model and excellent leader, working tirelessly to create an effective environment during a time of change.”Much of this work has been done selflessly and behind the scenes in a manner that has always matched his philosophy that the team always comes first. I am pleased that Gordon has decided to play on as he will continue to have a positive influence in the dressing room.”Scotland will play their final season of YB40 cricket this year and also have a run of internationals against Pakistan, Kenya and Australia. The matches against Kenya are particularly important as they are part of World Cricket League tournament that will provide two teams for the 2015 World Cup. Scotland are currently third behind Ireland and Netherlands.

وأوضح: “القيمة التسويقية لـ كولر اختلفت بعد التتويج بدوري أبطال إفريقيا، أنصحه بالاستمرار على ذلك، هو سعيد بتواجده مع الأهلي ويستمتع بالإنجازات التي يُحققها”.

وواصل: “كولر تلقى عرضًا من منتخب آسيوي، ولكن رفضنا، لأن المدرب يطمح في الاستمرار مع الأهلي، ولا صحة عن ما تردد بشأن تفاوض أندية من المنطقة العربية مع المدرب”.

وأكمل: “كولر يشعر بالراحة في الأهلي، وليس فقط المدرب بل المدربين المساعدين وكل من انضم لمنظومة الأهلي كانوا سعداء وأكدوا أن الأهلي مثل الأندية الأوروبية، كولر يواصل عمله الجيد والإدارة تُساعده”.

واستكمل: “قابلت خالد مرتجي عضو مجلس إدارة الأهلي بين شوطي مباراة الأهلي والوداد، وكان متوترًا وطلبت منه الهدوء، وأكدت له أن الأهلي سوف يعود ويفوز”.

هل تحدثت مع كولر بعد الخسارة أمام صن داونز؟: “نعم تحدثنا، ولكن من ناحية المبدأ هذا قد يحدث أثناء مشوار البطولة، أن الفرق الكبيرة تتلقى هزيمة، وهذا يحدث في كل البطولات مع أندية كبيرة، ولكن في النهاية فاز الأهلي باللقب”.

وأتم: “نحن نعرف الأهلي، هو فريق كبير جدًا يسعى لتحقيق الألقاب، سواء كان على الصعيد الإفريقي أو المحلي، ونعرف أن فايلر المدرب السويسري سبق ودرب المارد الأحمر، لكن لم يكن من شروط التعاقد أو التجديد لكولر التتويج بدوري أبطال إفريقيا”.
