أكد أوجستي بوش المدير الفني لفريق كرة السلة بالأهلي، سعادته بعد التتويج بالبطولة العربية على حساب الكويت الكويتي، خاصة أنه اللقب الأول له بعد قيادة القلعة الحمراء.

وكانت إدارة الأهلي قد احتفلت بتتويج فريق كرة السلة بالبطولة العربية وتكريم الجهاز الفني واللاعبين.

وقال أوجستي في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة الأهلي: “بدأت عملي في برشلونة خلال عام 2008، وهنا في الأهلي نجد الجماهير تدعم فريقها بشكل كبير، خاصة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، لكن في برشلونة الأمر مختلف، الجمهور ليس قريبًا من الفريق ولا يوجد الدفء الذي أجده هنا”.

وأكمل: “عندما تتتوج بطولة مثل البطولة العربية تحتاج أن تحتفل، وأنا أحب أن أحتفل بالبطولات لأن هذا يترجم الجهد الذي بذلناه لتحقيق البطولة، ولكن لا يوجد وقت لأن هناك منافسات أخرى قادمة”.

وأردف: “هدفنا التتويج بكل البطولات، لكن هناك مراحل لتحقيق ذلك، وهدفنا أن نتحسن في كل يوم، وسنحارب للفوز بالبطولات، وأحاول خلق علاقة قوية مع اللاعبين، ليست صداقة، لكن علاقة قائمة على الاحترام، لأنني لست من الشخصيات التي تسعي لخلق علاقات صداقة، لأن هذا يؤدي إلى تخطي بعض الحدود”.

وأشار: “أشعر بكل الدعم وحتى الضغط من جمهور الأهلي، الجمهور لا يطالب فقط بالبطولة لكن بالطريقة التي نفوز بها، وأريدهم أن يتفهموا أن أي فريق في العالم لا يستطيع الفوز بكل البطولات”.

واستطرد مدرب سلة الأهلي: “شاهدت بعض مباريات الأهلي في كرة القدم، وأحب الاستراتيجية التي يلعب بها الفريق، وأعلم أن الأحمر أحرز بطولات عديدة في إفريقيا تحت قيادة موسيماني، وأشعر بدعم الجمهور لي وللاعبين واعتقد أنه بنهاية الموسم سيكون لدينا فرص أكثر للاحتفال”.

وأوضح: “بعد نهاية الدوري الموسم الماضي وأنا مدربًا للزمالك قضيت أسبوعًا أفكر في تحديد مصيري، هل أبقى مع الأبيض أم أرحل، وأنا مدير فني أوروبي وأفتخر بالتدريب في مصر، لكن كنت أتطلع للتدريب في أوروبا”.

واختتم: “بعد نهاية عقدي مع الزمالك وعندما تأكدت بشكل رسمي أنه لا توجد فرصة لي للعمل في أوروبا، تلقيت عرض الأهلي ووافقت”.

Everton returned to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon looking an entirely different side.

The lockdown-hit 2019/20 campaign saw the Toffees peter out with a whimper with Tom Davies and Gylfi Sigurdsson pulling the strings in midfield – you wouldn’t blame anyone for not renewing their season ticket (under normal circumstances) on that basis.

However, Marcel Brands backed his man – Carlo Ancelotti – during the off-season and here we are with a very impressive new-look Everton.

They made the trip from Merseyside to north London to face a Spurs side that also bolstered their ranks, including a £15m move for one-time mooted target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But going by his debut, it’s one the club did well to miss out on.

Instead, it was James Rodriguez’s maiden Premier League bow that struck the headlines – and quite rightly – as he put in a sensational display. You’d struggle to believe this was Everton, in all honesty.

Per SofaScore, the 29-year-old picked up a match-high 8.1 rating and was pretty much integral to how the Toffees performed. He recorded five key passes, three shots and three interceptions. He even managed to get 11 of 12 long balls on target and enjoyed two dribbles.

By comparison, Davies managed seven key passes throughout the whole duration of last season.

The 2014 World Cup star cost just £20m and took a pay cut, which absolutely seems like one of the coups of recent times when you consider Sigurdsson was signed for a whopping £45m.

Jermaine Jenas lauded Rodriguez’s display, saying: “Rodriguez looked an absolute world-beater for Everton on Sunday – and he is almost exactly what Spurs haven’t got at the moment. He has got that star quality about him. The talk when Rodriguez signed was would he be quick enough or fit enough, but he has got the ability to see things before they happen. He just looked like he was a class above.”

It’s no wonder Jupp Heynckes labelled him a “god-send” back in 2017.

وبعد سلسلة من القيل والقال، أعلن هاري كين أنه سيستمر مع توتنهام في الموسم الحالي، ولكن يبدو أن مستواه قد تأثر بتلك التكهنات.

What’s the word?

According to The Evening Standard’s James Robson, the Red Devils are considering Watford’s Ismaila Sarr as a backup option to long-term transfer target Jadon Sancho.

It is claimed that United’s transfer committee have drafted a list of three to five targets in every position.

As far as the board are concerned, Sancho remains Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice, but Borussia Dortmund are refusing to sell him for anything less than their £108m asking price, so Solskjaer has been forced to look elsewhere – hence the interest in Sarr.

Cheaper alternative?

While Sarr is arguably a short-term solution, his statistics shouldn’t be ignored. United were interested in the 22-cap Senegal international during his time at Rennes although they reportedly ruled out making a move for him as recently as last week.

The 22-year-old made 28 appearances in the Premier League for Watford last season, scored five goals and supplied four assists, averaged 1.6 shots and 1.7 dribbles per game, and gave United fans a glimpse of what he has to offer with the ball at his feet, recording a pass success rate of 81.5% with at least 17 passes per game, via WhoScored.

He bagged a brace to end Liverpool’s hopes of staying unbeaten for an entire season in dramatic fashion at Vicarage Road, setting up an assist for club captain Troy Deeney as well.

The speedster ran riot over the Reds, winning four out of seven ground duels, whereas Mo Salah failed to find the back of the net and only managed two attempts, according to SofaScore.

Sarr actually averaged more dribbles per game than Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood last season, so he is surely a viable alternative.

Robson claims he could be available for as little as £45m, so it is hardly surprising that Liverpool are interested in the Watford forward, which should give Ed Woodward the boost he needs to get the deal done.

A “top player” who will “only get better”, Sarr has played in the Premier League before, and could be a shrewd signing instead of the expensive Sancho.

A partida valia muito pouco. Ao Corinthians, campeão brasileiro há duas rodadas, estava em jogo a busca por alguns recordes e a manutenção da invencibilidade de dez jogos. Já o Sport, sem mais chances de chegar ao G4, jogava por sua dignidade, uma despedida honrosa diante da torcida em 2015 e… A chance de carimbar as faixas do Timão. Foi isso que o Leão fez na Arena Pernambuco. Superior do começo ao fim, a equipe da casa venceu por 2 a 0, com gols do zagueiro Matheus Ferraz e do atacante André.

Repleto de reservas, o time alvinegro nem de longe pareceu aquele que encantou, faturou o campeonato com sobras e ainda goleou o rival São Paulo na última semana.

Os donos da casa também não foram primorosos, mas apresentaram o suficiente para não sofrerem sustos. O goleiro Danilo Fernandes foi pouquíssimo acionado e o único susto que sofreu foi aos 44 minutos do segundo tempo, quando o zagueiro Edu Dracena quase marcou após bate e rebate na área.

Além da falta de motivação, os comandados de Tite mostraram um pouco de desorganização. Por dentro, diferentemente de como está habituado a jogar, Jadson não rendeu como pode. Vagner Love também esteve abaixo do esperado, e aqueles que poderiam aproveitar a chance para mostrar trabalho estiveram apagados, casos de Cristian e Danilo, por exemplo.

Já do outro lado Diego Souza aproveitou o clima amistoso para dar dribles ousados e jogadas de efeito. O Sport envolvia o adversário com troca de passes e chegadas pelas pontas. Em uma delas, após escanteio curto, Renê cruzou da intermediária, a defesa corintiana fez errado a linha de impedimento e três jogadores surgiram livres na cara de Walter. Matheus Ferraz era um deles e, de cabeça, mandou para a redes.

Nem mesmo atrás do placar o Timão acordou. As famosas e eficientes triangulações elaboradas por Tite não surgiram e a equipe trocava passes sem efeito.O castigo veio no fim. Marlone, impedido, cruzou rasteiro, e André anotou o segundo.

Ao Sport, consolo neste fim de ano. Ao Corinthians… nada que abale a festa do hexa, que deve seguir domingo que vem, contra o Avaí, no “adeus” à Itaquera em 2015.

كشف سيد عبد الحفيظ مدير الكرة بالأهلي، موعد انتظام الثلاثي وليد سليمان ومحمد الشناوي ومحمود متولي في تدريبات الفريق، وذلك بعد غيابهم للإصابة خلال الفترة الماضية.

وأصيب وليد سليمان في مباراة الأهلي والحرس الوطني التي أقيمت أمس السبت، في دوري أبطال إفريقيا، بينما الشناوي تعرض للإصابة خلال مباراة منتخب مصر مع ليبيا بتصفيات إفريقيا المؤهلة لكأس العالم، ومحمود متولي يغيب منذ نوفمبر الماضي لقطع في الرباط الصليبي.

وقال عبد الحفيظ خلال تصريحات عبر برنامج “البيت الكبير” على قناة “الأهلي”: “وليد سليمان حصل على راحة اليوم وغدًا ومن الوارد أن يلتحق بالفريق بعد غد”.

وتابع: “محمد الشناوي وارد يعود بعد أسبوع من الآن عندما ينتهي من فترة التأهيل والعلاج الطبيعي”.

وأضاف: “لا توجد إصابات كثيرة في الفريق، ومحمود متولي سيتواجد في التدريبات الجماعية خلال 10 أيام”.

وواصل: “لدينا مشكلة إيجابية وليست سلبية وهي تتعلق بكثرة اللاعبين المميزين في نفس المركز، ومع كثرة المنافسات والمباريات في البطولات المختلفة ستكون المشاركات كبيرة، ولابد أن يكون هناك تركيز واهتمام ودرجة من الاستعداد عند اللاعبين، وإن شاء الله نبدأ بتركيز في الدوري”.

Manchester United were one of the busiest sides on Deadline Day, signing several players including Brazilian left-back Alex Telles from FC Porto.

What’s the word?

According to the BBC’s Simon Stone, Telles has signed a four-year deal with the Red Devils retaining the option to extend his contract for a further year.

The Brazil international, who has won one cap for his country at the time of writing, has moved to Old Trafford for a reported fee worth £13.6m with add ons.

It means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally has a full-back who can compete with Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw for a place in the starting line-up.

Solskjaer had been desperate to add a player in this position all summer and now he has hit the jackpot.

Shrewd signing

By all accounts it had been a relatively quiet transfer window at Old Trafford by their standards but the club were forced into a dramatic upturn after missing out on Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils are in dire need of a full-back, even more so after Solskjaer’s side were on the receiving end of a 6-1 drubbing by Spurs which saw Shaw exposed several times.

And they have brought in Telles from Porto which may not only bring Solskjaer’s nightmares at the back to an abrupt end but could also stop Harry Maguire from dramatically regressing even further.

Per SofaScore, Shaw may live to regret his mistakes, as he lost possession 16 times throughout the game, whilst he committed three fouls and failed to make a single tackle.

The 25-year-old played 24 games in the Premier League last season, averaging 1.8 tackles, 1.3 clearances and at least 1 interception per game, via WhoScored.

In contrast Telles made 31 appearances for Porto in the Portuguese top-flight, averaging 1.1 tackles, 1.2 clearances and 1.8 interceptions per game, as per WhoScored. He also scored 13 goals and supplied 12 assists in all competitions for the club last season.

Solskjaer insists that “he is a fighter and a winner” which is surely a sign of things to come.

And former Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos believes that “Alex is a phenomenon. He is another player who, before long, will be part of the national team.”

Whilst it may seem like a press of the panic button, this is a transfer the club have been pursuing for some time, and it could turn out to be a shrewd bit of business by Ed Woodward. It could take the club to the next level from a left-back point of view as he is surely an upgrade on what they had at Old Trafford.
